Inclusive Leadership Course: Developing Inclusion Bases

At Marvel College, Headteacher Jake Capper used The Difference Inclusive Leadership Course (ILC) to transform staff practice and embed an asset-based approach to inclusion. Applying ILC learning, the school established The ARC, an inclusion base at the heart of the school, supporting students to access the curriculum while building on their strengths. Relational practices, trauma-informed CPD, and restorative approaches are now embedded across staff, improving attendance, keeping young people in mainstream, and creating a supportive, inclusive school culture that prevents exclusion before it occurs.
