Leading a Trust-wide Approach to Whole-School Inclusion

Xavier Catholic Education Trust partnered with The Difference to embed a trust-wide approach to whole-school inclusion across its 19 schools. Through The Difference’s Inclusive Leadership Course (ILC), senior leaders developed a shared framework focused on restorative practice, strong behaviour systems and staff training. The work has contributed to reduced suspensions, improved attendance and less lost learning, while maintaining strong academic outcomes. The case study shows how strategic inclusive leadership at trust level can support schools to improve behaviour, reduce exclusions and keep more pupils learning.
